Rude Dog...... and the Dweebs - Anyone remember this cartoon?

Anyone?

I remember on British TV it was shown before the despicable Raccoons before Going Live came on, Rude Dog and The Dweebs ruled, eventually it did become part of Going Live's schedule...

But anyone, anywhere, remember this great-ish cartoon?

"OH MY GAWD, YOU'RE HURTING ME AGAIN"

"I'm like in a shop, looking for the right man, for me jigsaw, and believe you me, I'll f**king do it. I am the law." - Gary Hayward, Belper Town FC manager.

I do! It was on CBS back in the late 80's.

It was cool to me back then...but I was 11-12 years old. I would not consider it cool now!

Just I have often been accused of being obsessed with the likes of Julie Halard, Lori Petty, Winona Ryder and Manchester City, I hereby accuse you, Joey, of being obsessed with Rude Dog and the Dweebs!

Its not the first time your affection this show has been noted!

I remember it as a bright neon coloured show with a stangely addictive theme tune. I also remember there being an aristocratic kinda dog with a monocle.

To this day I occassionaly find myself saying...

"Ruuuuudee dooooooooooog....and the Dweebs!"

Likewise I am sometimes found singing the theme tunes to the 'Thundercats', 'Dogtanian and the three muskerhounds', and Ulysees. Oh and the Amazing cities of gold. Which was fantastic.

Just for you, here is a pic of Rude Dog...and the dweebs!

Manchester City 2011 FA Cup winners! 2012 Premier League Champions! 2014 League Cup winners and Premier League Champions! At last!!!!!

Winston was the purple british one with the monocle.

It was hardly a classic cartoon, he ran a dispatch firm from his garage (massive garage) and drove round in a cadillac...

Ah... theme to Thundercats....

Thundercats are on the LOOSE..
Thundercats are LOOSE,
Feel the magic,
Feel the roar,
Thundercats are LOOSE...
Thunder Thunder Thunder Thunder CATS!

If I remember right, Rude Dog his gangster type voice a la Joe Pesci or Robert de Niro...I fear he was up to no good. Besides being a poor man's Top Cat...

Speaking of Thundercats... Another excuse to put up a pic of Cheetara...

The lady scores highly in the cartoon babe Hall of Fame...alongside...

Daphne from Scooby Doo

and

Evil-Lyn from He-Man.

I really need to get out more...

Nah, Cheetara looks like one of them female body builders...

Rude Dog was a bit of a poor mans Top Cat, like a 90's version, but as a dog. Nothin beats Top Cat dans mon petit humble opinion.

What did he dispatch as well? I reckon it must have been drugs...

By the way is it me, or did Mumm-Ra sound slightly camp?

I remember Voltron.

And what about...

Transformers...more than meets the eye!
Transformers...robots in disguise
Autobots engage in battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons!

I honestly cannot believe that I remember that.
