Survivor: The Amazon

after living through the fever for over three (four?) series and not watched a single episode in full, I decided to take a peek tonight to see what all the fuss is about... and I haven't found it out yet... I thought the initial episode was tame and lacked real drama and suspense... The Tambaqui tribe, consisted of men only, managed to squander a huge lead on the first challenge and had to vote one of their members off...Ryan had the dubious honor of being the first one elected out...

Beautiful scenery and setting, but I haven't been captivated by the first episode yet to become a loyal viewer... maybe you guys liked it better, any opinions?

Ryan

Well the first episode usually isn't the most exciting...you don't know that much about the players and their alliances etc. yet. Keep watching, I'm sure you'll like it more as it goes along.

I was happy one of Ryan or Daniel got kicked off..they were really getting on my nerves

There are no sharks in the Amazon right, only piranha? Cause I'd sure like to see someone on this series strap on some waterskis and jump over a shark.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

Ryan is an ass, I'm glad he's gone, though Dan should have been first.

LOl at Dh. I missed the episodes I get sick of the politics. I want more spice in the castmates personalitites.

I'm surprised people still watch it. Just like "Real World" the following years don't measure up to the first one.

I still can't get ove the fact that the women beat the men in the race... I think Dan should be the one to go... But Ryan is arrogant... he did himself in by talking to much...

I hope you won't be disappointed. I didn't like the way they treated Christy. I won't say anymore until you have watched.

Just watched it.

It was a good episode. These people are a bunch of
idiots!! "oh..there's no food". Has anybody ever
considered eating plants? Any plant that animals or
insects have biten are safe, and not poisonous. They
could have boiled the leaves and had a type of spinach.
You can even it certain types of tube roots or even flowers!!

Anyway- I like Christy. I wanted to punch those bimbo's
for treating her so badly. How shallow can you get?
Who cares about how nice your boobs are? YOUR IN
The FREAKIN AMAZON!! Get real.

I hate everyone except Christy, the hard ass D.A, the
cool gospel crooner, the NASA guy, and the geek.

The"Frat Boy" thing just irked the heck out of me. I was
so glad to see those morons eat dirt for losing the
challenge.; that was made it worth watching. HA!!

wow, greenout. You pretty much summed up my feelings. I was pissed off when they showed Heidi or someone else (maybe the swimsuit model) saying that they haven't bonded w/ Christy because they can't communicate with her! WELL how hard would it be? Just get in front of her and speak!! GEEZ!!!!
