Oscar - Best Adapted Screenplay

A movie named Adaptation just has to win, right?

I think The Hours, but probably will go to Adaptation (coz of the theme of the movie )

Can "Adaptation" beat three Best Picture nominees? That's too far-fetched. And wasn't the screenplay for "Adaptation" too absurd for the Academy to embrace it?

Surely it was the toughest to write. But the overall screenplay didn't live up to its brilliant ideas IMO. It will probably win, but any of the three Picture nominees could boot it.
