The abductor's daughter was the best friend of Gina DeJesus and was with her on the day she disappeared. The police have received previous complaints by neighbors.

Jon S. Randal

I wanted to say something about Charles Ramsey, the man who rescued the three women held captive for 10 years, I tried to look for a picture. What I found were photos of him expressing himself in his unique way and mannerisms, tooth missing, with captions such as "eats ribs, dances to salsa music," "eats McDonald's, saves white women," "Bro, I knew something was wrong when a little pretty white gurl ran into a black man's arms." C'mon, people, yes he is quite a character, and may not look like a movie star hero riding on his white horse, but Charles Ramsey is a hero nonetheless, a man who heard a woman scream and took the time to check it out, rather than ignore a plea for help because he did not want to get "involved," a man who kicked a door down when police never even bothered to return to the house when no one answered after neighbors complained of suspicious activity, a man who when asked by Anderson Cooper whether he was a hero, insisted "...not this hero stuff, just do the right thing...No, no, no. Bro, I'm a Christian, an American, and just like you. We bleed same blood, put our pants on the same way," a man who when asked if reward money was offered, it should be given to the women who were kidnapped, "take that reward and give it to - that little girl came out the house and she was crying." Listen, because of this man, three women were given their lives back, three families who had grieved for what they perceived were their losses were brought back together, a monster has been taken off the streets and no longer a threat to young girls, and a little girl can now live a normal life instead of just staring out of an attic window not knowing what fate awaited her.

This is just sick. Apparently he raped, beat and tortured them for years, and they now have lasting injuries. They fell pregnant a few times but he caused them to have miscarriages by punching them in the stomach.

How likely is this guy, under the local law, to receive the death penalty, or at least life in prison?
