Romney gave me one of these to read and I still wouldn't vote for him.

Re: Have you ever read Bible?

When I was 9 I was hospitalized with pneumonia and a friend of my dad's gave me this. I read quite a bit of it; it was a fantastic version for kids.

Yes. Loved the parables as a kid. Attended vacation bible joy. Loved that too.
Mostly read the psalms now.

Not a single word though I have been tempted, in some hotels they feel like it's appropiate to leave a copy in your room.

Re: Have you ever read Bible?

Only short passages. We've had many copies in our school though but people used them primarily to draw male genitalia in them.

Just so you know: I'm better than you because my fave is better than your fave. Your fave is a bitch and a shrieking BBB. Or was it pusher? Who cares. She's a classless brat anyway. But don't you dare insult my fave, idiot.

Re: Have you ever read Bible?

Much of Western civilization is based on perspectives in the Bible. Although values and morality are now often independent of religion, that's where they come from.

It is definitely not the only source, you may want to review the work of the ancient greek philosophers.

Re: Have you ever read Bible?

I had to read the Book of Job once for an English class. That's the extent of my Bible knowledge. Actually, it's hard to say if I actually read it. I mostly did the internet version of it by reading summaries

Hmmm . . .okay yes not the only source but as I see it, in terms of what is practiced in the West in values and morality, the predominant one. By far. In political systems and some other institutions ancient Greece does hold sway. Perhaps if Rome hadn't become a Christian society prior to major conquering.
