Re: The 2 Koreas: How Do Korean-Americans Feel About The Current Situation?

Aren't there 3 nuclear warheads ready for action?

The last missile launch was a success.

And you believed those Taiwanese claims? What's with the Taiwanese hate toward Korea? LeonHart is a typical example.

1. They're Chinese claims, not Taiwanese.

2. It's not right for Tennisbum to make these accusations because he probably doesn't understand the different thinking of waishengren and benshengren in Taiwan, let alone speak for the entire country of Taiwan.

3. I'm only 1 person, I do not claim to represent the entire Taiwan, kthx.

Re: North Korea ready for Sacred War

Taiwan actually has a historical link with Korea: according to (IIRC) Komrade Khruschev's memoir, Mao would have sent troops to reunite with Chaing Kai-shek's refuge, the "renegade province" on Formosa, if not for the Korean War. And Nikita Sergeyevich also wrote that Stalin got Mao to agree to send in troops by saying the Soviets would too, then cancelling that promise after Kim Il-Sung launched the war.

BTW, the US entry was after Truman's Secretary of State Dean Acheson left South Korea (and Taiwan, FWIW) off of a list of "vital interests" the US would defend with troops. Another is that the Soviets were then boycotting the UN ova its failure to switch the China seat (including on the Security Council) to Peking, so didn't veto the use of force vote with their veto; though a "coalition of the willing" might have entered anyhow.

It was the way you worded your post. Anyways let's not derail the discussion as I feel this is a very important topic. Not to mention I am leaving for Japan next week so I am a bit scared this will get out of hand.

Re: North Korea ready for Sacred War

I've read on my local news that Taiwan has advised it's citizens against all types of travel to the Korean peninsula.

Kuznetsova Serena Na Kvitova

Djokovic Wawrinka Gasquet del Potro

Also good luck to Jankovic, Vesnina, Stosur, Pennetta, Kerber and Halep

Re: North Korea ready for Sacred War

I think this will last another week or two and then it will cool down over there again. North Korea can't fight a major war against the US and South Korea they would get crushed. If they did fire a nuke and it hit anywhere I think that you would see North Korea basically wiped off the map..

I agree!

I'm shocked China hasn't done something about them, they don't seem too happy with North Korea right now...

I also thought China would have acted. I guess they are now starting to act politically now.

Re: North Korea ready for Sacred War

"Remove them" because they're inconvenient to the West, and its allies in the region?

Hitler had his equivalent of that: "remove" the Jews, Gypsies, gays, handicapped, etc.

And pray tell: who shall the West "remove" next?
