BTW, "Red Indians" is offensive. Native American have been fighting for years for the country's sport teams (school or pros) to not use term they find offensive and evoke difficult history in their past. They have succeeded in some, and are still fighting in others.
The Washing NFL team is still called Red Skins
I understand it was taught to you that way, but when you are told by Americans that it is an offensive expression, you should not use justification that it is out charity
when the term is still in use officially, how am i supposed to refrain from using it? because few internet posters tell me it is offensive?

Re: USA is the country of?

BTW- funny story I've heard about USA. Don't know is it truth, so anyone can confirm/deny it ?

Apparently there are special electric wheelchairs in supermarkets for disabled/elderly and...fat (?!) people

A fat man driving his pickup car with six, or seven seats, carrying nothing but his royal fatness. He parks it closest to the entry of the store. Then he takes a special wheelchair made for disabled and elderly, then make his shoping. At the cash, shop service people are packing his goods, then he goes back to the car... Is this true ? BC its hard to imagine...

I'm alaways right, even when Im wrong...

^^^

This is true. The electric wheelchairs are fantastic for elderly and disabled people, and yes, massively obese people also use them. I have never seen them in any stores in Washington, DC, but I have seen them in stores when I go to more rural and low-income parts of the United States. I only recall seeing them in massive stores like Wal-Marts or gigantic supermarkets. It is really sad that people get so obese, they can't even get around without a electric cart.

Here's an article about it on Fierce, Free-Thinking Fatties: "http://fiercefatties.com/2012/08/27/...ility-scooter/"

There are a few of these in most big supermarkets, but they are usually used by elderly/injured people. I don't see many 'fat' people in them. The obese people that use them are a microscopic portion of the population.

I don't think the stereotypes are so stale. I grew up in Tennessee and saw plenty of massively obese people using these mobility scooters. There is an obesity you see in the USA that is highly uncommon in some other countries. You can go to poor, rural parts of the South where the majority of people are obese. But yes, it definitely doesn't apply to everyone, and there are lots of people who are not obese at all.

I very rarely see obese people here in DC, but I do notice lots of obese people when it's tourist season and the tourists are walking around the city.

And we also have flying pigs for the blind and floating elephants for the really obese. I've never once seen so-called 'special electric wheelchairs'. At least in Northern California that is.

You live in one of the fitter, wealthier areas of the country so you're less likely to see these. If you go to the parts of the country with epidemic obesity, you will definitely see these.

It's becoming very common in the UK - obesity that is. Whereas years ago the poor were thin and rich fat, it's now the other way around. Women in particular are fatter than what I see in France and Spain.

Monica Seles Superstar. Her fans never forget.

Players I root for now: Heather, Laura, Lucie, Marion, Serena, Simona, Svetlana, Venus, Vika. And Caroline.
Doubles and Mixed Doubles are fun and underrated.

I saw them in Pennsylvania, and they're here in many parts of the UK. Not so much London, but the poorer provinces.
