or otherwise Big Day out if you prefer the more dancey/alternative music.

Yes, they are held each year, and usually in more than one of the major cities too!

Maxidrom in Moscow probably, Russian rock musicians take part in it, it's held every year.
We also have one that is called Nashestvie, it's also held every year, it lasts for two days, it's not as massive as Maxidrom though
