training...every day, or every other day?

so I think I'm a bit tired, more now than in the last few years, I'm kind of lazy and I get depressed because of inactivity, also I've put on a bit of weight

I think I wanna trim down on weight, get a nice shape and most definitely do excercise to feel better and I want to go to the gym and what have you so back to the title, train every day or every other day?

(btw I dont want muscle, I just wanna look cut, or "trimmed", any suggestions?)

I run everyday for about 30-45 minutes. I find it gets easier if you do it everyday.

I've never done weight training, so with that I wouldn't know.

But I would definitely recommend stretching and running everyday. I sometimes skip too.

I used to do pushups and situps but too lazy now

For me every oher day usually just run in place for a while than do sit ups, push ups leg lifts, Also you should eat a good diet everyday because it doesn't matter how much you exercise if you don't watch what you eat it won't help as much. The every day or every other day is up to you. i would recommend start every other day at first.

I'd say definetly start off slower and make the work outs get tougher as you go along. Personally, I think everyday is better, simply because it gets you in the habit of working out. If you do every other day, you'll soon find yourself saying well not today, I'll just do two days in a row. If you exercise everyday, you have no excuse to skip a day

but if you workout hard everyday, then it's too much. you should varie (sp) your workout. talk to a gym "specialist" at the gym and ask him/her to make a workout schedule for you! that's what they are there for!

personally, i never lifts weights. But i do play basketball 2-3 times a week. and other sports too if i have time. i get much more motivated when i do sports then working on those stupid huge machines. but everybody has their own taste.

and i recommend YOGA

joy - the explanation is that the muscles needs time to rest and get "bigger" lol seriusly, the muscles needs time to get bigger and stronger. if you work on the muscles every other day, it wont get tired and it's just more healthy!

As much as you wanna

There is no rule to say you can't everyday, just don't train to the max everyday

High weights but less reps is better than small weights more reps

One day focus on weights, the next on cardio and so on

I been doing it for months, no drawbacks as of yet

Actually, it is recommended that you don't exercise right near bedtime.
