Halle Berry and Eric Benet are Having Marital Problems

Halle Berry and Eric Benet are Having Marital Problems

It has been an extraordinary couple of years for Halle Berry, who has turned her life around and emerged as one of the world's top stars, winning an Oscar earlier this year for "Monster's Ball" and international exposure in the new James Bond movie, "Die Another Day." However, it turns out the rumors that her marriage to dancer and choreographer Eric Benet is shaky have a basis in fact.

"I would like to say something. The truth is, yes, Halle and I are going through a personal crisis," Benet told Nancy O'Dell of "Access Hollywood."

The couple has been married for about two years. Benet said it was true that he had made some misjudgments in their relationship. "I have made some terrible mistakes. But the truth is I love my wife. I am so in love with my wife and we are committed to each other, our marriage, and our love. We are united and we are trying to make our way through this the best way we know how."

Benet didn't go into all of the rumors, but they are familiar to readers of the tabloid news. They include a report that Benet had an affair only days before Berry won the Oscar, which he denies. "What's not true is this latest tabloid article. It's completely not true and it's just really disgusting how a person can sink to such lows just to get a check."

Berry, 32, who has been shooting the sequel to "X-Men" recently, said she handles the pressure of living in a fishbowl by keeping her focus on her love for her husband and remaining committed to the relationship. "I just love him and marriage is about sticking together through tough times, and we're sticking together and we feel really good about that."

Halle's husband admits problems

Eric Benet, the husband of the Oscar-winning Bond star Halle Berry, is reported to have admitted that the couple are going through a "personal crisis".

There has been speculation of problems since a former lover of Mr Benet claimed she had slept with him only days before Miss Berry picked up her Oscar.

Mr Benet, in a brief statement, said: "The truth is we are going through a personal crisis.

"I have made some terrible mistakes.

"I am so in love with Halle and we are committed to each other, our marriage and our love. We are united and trying to make our way through this."

Miss Berry added "I just love Eric, and marriage is about sticking together through the tough times.

"We are doing exactly that and I feel good about it."

Julia Ripley, the former lover, claimed that shortly after his marriage Mr Benet felt he had made a big mistake.

She said: "Eric said he was not happy with Halle and he felt uneasy.

"He said she was not treating him right."

When the actress discovered that her husband had been unfaithful, he checked himself in to a sex addiction clinic in an effort to save his marriage.

I see the article as being the opposite. They both state that they are commited to one another.

Marraige is a job that partners have to work on all the time. Mariatal Problems can be worked out.

Thanks for the article CHOCO

Thanx Dawn.

I hope they can work out their problems. However, if they can't, I'm sure there will be many men in line to take Halle's hand.

Many many will be in line. I have a good friend who lives in Cleveland and his sister hung out with Halle way before she became famous. Anyway, he said back then she was so insecure. She even thought she was ugly!! She would let guys treat her like shit all the time.

It's nice to see how far Halle has grown.

If Halle has enough of him, she can send him to me because he's GORGEOUS.
