..hm today in one of my classes we discussed the work of Michael Sones (for those of you who don't know who he is, he's a psychotherapist in the UK who is obsessed with the basis that beauty is determined by symmetry. He relates this to the Greek's notion of perfection.)
Of course he has a point in that symmetry does look better than asymmetric features but he's taking it much too far imo.. nobody has perfect symmetrical features on any part of the body, but i mean to go so far as to base a person's beauty and success simply upon body symmetry is insane
