What was the most expensive thing you've ever bought?

I am just wondering.

For me, it was a around-the-world-flight (Frankfurt-London-San Francisco-Las Vegas-Hawaii-Seoul-Tokyo-Frankfurt).

Re: What was the most expensive thing you've ever bought?

It's all relative, we bought a car for $19,000 that's very nice.

But I also bought of set of mugs for $130 each mug. So the car yes, but I think the mugs would be the thing I would say is the most expensive.

Does it have to be something I paid for solely on my own?

If so, the it would be my amazing condo. Of course, I still have 14 years more to go before it'll fully be mine, but yeah, my condo.

Question should be more specific, excluding cars and houses

Round the world holiday. Material things: I paid Ł350 for a book.

My parents paid for my education so guess I can't say that

Re: What was the most expensive thing you've ever bought?

my own house

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

Re: What was the most expensive thing you've ever bought?

Never bought anything expensive. I have an apartament, but my parents bought it for me, when I was a teen. Don't have a car. Even my bike and by PC, I got as a bithday gifts (in fact my PC is from...2004 or something like that).

Besides that, the most expensive things I bought are:

- collection of music CDs
- ticket for disturbing public peace
- some train trip to a concert (+party)

I never took credit. And never will. Would be good if other people would follow. IMO if someone takes a credit to buy a car is dumb, irresponsible, and I won't cry for him, if hes going to end up jobless and homeless one day.

I'm alaways right, even when Im wrong...

With my own money? The XBOX 360

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

it seems really harsh, someone could just as easily say:

maybe not everyone depends on their parents to buy them an apartment, so they might to borrow to get a car because you know they want to take responsibility for them selves and not have mummy and daddy buy their home.
