Where to go in Europe?

Hi all -

I have an upcoming 10-day trip to Europe, leaving from NYC. I wanted to know which places are great to visit. We are thinking Florence, Venice and Lyon. The first weekend through Tuesday, we'll be in Lyon. And then Wednesday through Friday I have to be in Geneva for sure, because of my friend's work. And the final weekend of the trip we are thinking of Lyon. The requirement for the last weekend of the trip is it has to be close to Geneva. What other options are viable besides Florence, Venice and Lyon? Thanks a lot.

Belgium would be great : Tournai is a great city to visit : loads of history : is one of the oldest city of Western Europe

Although I won't debate you on Tournai: it is a great city to visit, but I wouldn't let people drive from Lyon to see it.

Avignon maybe? (One of my favs if you don't go in touristic high season)

Clijsters - Hantuchova - Sprem

Safina - Wickmayer - Dokic

Johansson - Larsson - Arvidsson
