Re: The books you are going to read during summer

Many! I'm reading '007: From Russia With Love' now, then I'm gonna read 'Hyperspace' by Michio Kaku, then 'El Llano en Llamas' by Juan Rulfo, then this book of short stories by Chekhov which title I don't remember then another one by Chekhov and then 'The Oldman and the Sea' by Hemingway.

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

I'm going to try and read the majority of Virginia Woolf's novels. Then maybe move onto more contemporary writers and theorists such as Richard Dawkins, Camille Paglia etc.

Is there any creature on earth as unfortunate as an ugly woman?

It's so long and engaging that it can take over your life when you're so into it.

#1: The Great Gatsby. A more overrated work you won't find in any medium.

Reading several steampunk novels as research for the one that I'm currently writing.

A nice friggin' break from seven years of articles like Diachronic typology and the geneological unity of
Chukotko-Kamchatkan
and Linguistic reflections of Xakas ethnohistory.

My. Favourite. Book. Ever.
So much emotion.
I identified myself so well with the main character I sometime thought I was telling the story!
You won't regret it!
There'll be a movie starring Emma Watson and many others great stars.
