Question Do you remember the cartoon, JEM?

I'm wondering if anyone remembers this cartoon. Maybe people in the USA and UK will remember this who are between the ages of 20 and 25.

If you do remember this, then what things do you remember more?

I remember that JEM was the popstar type person that a girl turned into when she rubbed her earings and said "showtime cynergy!" LOL I cant remember the girls name, was it Jessica?

Then there were the enemy group, The Misfits! Oh, I almost for got, dont forget Jems boyfriend type person called Rio!

I found the theme tune to Jem but I don't think I can attach it to this thread. If I cant I will email it to you if you would like to listen to it - its really quite funny actually! LOL. It bought back memories for me.

Bye for now,
Rachel

one of my two barbiedolls who escaped my scissors!

In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the desert of the truth
To the river so deep
We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
We're all carried along
By the river of dreams
In the middle of the night

OMG, I remember this.....and didn't they have hollograms or something to fool the misfits?

Talk about judgemental cartoons...we were raised on that!

I remember it and that just shows how old I am ... I think it was on Super Channel and I don't know what happend to it either; I think it went bankrupt.

But I don't know what it was about - I remember that they were singers and that they had very long hair (my English was even worse back then).

Me and my sister watched it every sunday! we were jem-aholics. Or was it somethng like:

when you're a jem girl you're never the same, come now come on be a jem girl!

I preferred Jem when she wasnt on stage....she looked more reserved and not as slutty!

I forgot...did her boyfriend know she was a rocker?

I don't remember the theme song or anything, but I DID have a Jem doll which I adored.

Which was odd, because I hated barbies.

yeah she had a pink strain in her hair and a purple/silver dress with glitter on it and a microphone and pink shoes wich I couldn't use for other barbiedolls since they were so big!

Yeah that was her!

I really did hate barbie.

When I was 8, my freinds all insisted on playing barbie at my best freinds birthday party. I was so dumbfounded by this that I cried.

It just hurt so much to see them wasting their lives away with barbie.

My little Pony, is where it was at.

I played with both except that I didn't like the pony's with those glitter eyes so I only played with the first version like appleblossem(I think that was his name because he had apples on his behind)

I think I was really bad. I had these outcast barbies and pony's. also when I got new one some had to make space and they had to live outside my community and where undressed or got the stuf that didn't look beautiful anymore

JEM! She's truly outrageous..truly, truly, truly Outrageous...

JEM!

Is that part of the theme song?

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

yes, vw, that is part of the song. if you really want to remenise or even laugh at it (like I did) I will send you the song to your email.

I really thought it was great back then - still I'd love to see it again - for the laugh

I used to hate Baribies, but I had one of the Jem dolls. My sister had Jem and I had, oh I remember, Kimber! Oh its all coming back now, Jems real name was Jerrica (not Jessica as I said earlier) and I think Rio did know she was Jem.

Me and my sister used to have the film "JEM, truely outrageous!" (It was basically the first 5 episodes merged together for the film) LOL

I may not say the words as such
