Indiana (USA) University Students Film Porno Movie On Campus

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- As many as 30 Indiana
University students are to appear in a pornographic
movie that includes scenes shot in a campus dorm, a
spokeswoman for the filmmaker said.

More than 100 students were involved with the October
taping of the film, and 20 to 30 signed modeling
releases, said Calli Cox, spokeswoman and actress for
Shane Enterprises.

Cox said those who signed releases were filmed
receiving oral sex from actresses, the Indiana Daily
Student reported Tuesday.

University police began an investigation last month
after administrators learned of the filming Oct. 3 at
Teter Quadrangle and other locations on the
Bloomington campus.

IU officials have accused the California-based Web
site of exploiting students and have said they would
pursue charges if the investigation determined any
laws had been broken.

"This was an exploitative operation. They didn't
notify administration officials, they made direct
contact with students and then used university
property for proprietal gain," said university
spokesman Bill Stephan.

Cox countered that the filmmaker solicited campus
groups to take part in the filming three weeks before
the four-day visit. She said the company did not
exploit students, because students decided whether to
participate.

"These students are adults who made their own
decisions," she said.

Dean of Students Richard McKaig said the university
would decide what action to take against students who
took part in the filming once they and their level of
involvement were identified.

"Consenting adult behavior is not something the
University needs to be involved in. We need to look at
if there were any violations of the student code of
conduct when considering proper response," he said.

McKaig said he had received calls from some students
who were concerned the filming scandal might tarnish
their degree even though they were not involved.

"IU has 38,000 students and with that, it has 38,000
different value systems. It is hard to categorize
38,000 students based on the actions of just a few,"
McKaig said.
