Nothing really surprising to me...
I really want to visit Sweden and Finland, seems like a serene utopia... I could only take the weather for so long though.

Really?

Serbia at 145 below countries where women can't even vote must be a mistake. I'm not sure I trust Rwanda being ranked higher than Spain or Italy, either, or countries like Germany or Hungary being ranked so low. Plus, given that they don't constitute what statistics have made up this list make me think it's a bit dubious.

Sorry, should specified more. I was referring to more of the top 20ish, particularly the Scandinavian countries.

They didn't count it well. Anyway, I'd really liked to know how they got these numbers.

I hope the Irish feminazis don't see this, we are on par with Albania and China which I don't mind but I'm sure they'll bitch about it forever They already bitch about how hard done by they allegedly are.

I agree that Serbia being so low looks ridiculous.

I'd much rather be a woman in Serbia than Kenya, which is ranked higher. Rape statistics, women's safety, wasn't taken into account when making this list.

Re: Best Countries for Women Ranking

I was surprise by many of these. Then I saw "Newsweek/The Daily Beast analyzed dozens of data points for 165 countries " which made me chuckle.

Mulder: "So you're agreeing with me?"
Scully "No! You're bat-crap crazy."

Re: Best Countries for Women Ranking

this list = load of crap. i can't imagina austria being behind rwanda or kyrghyzstan.

also, looking at serbia's scores, isn't overall score supposed to be the mean value of the other 5? how can overall score be lower than any of them?

Apart from showing the world that you're a Rush Limbaugh's peom, what do you mean by the term "feminazi"?

Yes, that's why I quoted the part with Djibouti and Serbia. It makes no sense.

Other interesting numbers.

Economics:
Germany :78.2
Albania: 82.4
Republic of Macedonia: 83.4
Luxembourg: 75.6
Italy: 62.7
Bulgaria: 76.5
Austria: 72.00

Those numbers are so random.

Re: Best Countries for Women Ranking

The sixth annual World Economic Forum Global Gender Gap Report 2011 give a different ranking.
