BlackBerry outage

How long will it take?
I just heard that this might not be resolved until November, I hope it's not true
No service in Saudi Arabia most of the time since Monday.
What about you guys?

The outage reached North America.
I wonder how much this costs them!

Phones are mainly for calling, receiving calls, and texting. As long as my phone is able to perform these basic tasks, why do I need to change to a high end device? I'm pretty satisfied with its camera, embedded radio, flash light, applications and music player (i.e. no need for an iPod!) It's doing well for a four years old phone, there's absolutely no reason for me to switch (yet). Spending hundreds of pounds on a BlackBerry or an iPhone right now is last on my list when I have to worry about a flatlining economy.

Re: BlackBerry outage

At the moment the Blackberry OS is by far the worst of WP7, Android and iOS and that isn't changing anytime soon. I mean iOS 5 was just released today and that's a huge update from iOS 4 and with Windows Phone 7 Mango and Android Ice Cream Sandwich coming out soon BB are only falling behind more and more.

I'll get the iPhone 4S in a few weeks and then a Google Nexus Prime when that's released to have the best of both Android and iOS.

When Nokia release their Windows 7 Phones they're going to take over the world again

I wasn't trying to be...mean. It was a legitimate question. I haven't seen anyone w/ a Nokia in about 4-5 yrs; which is why I thought they stopped making them/people stopped carrying them.

Re: BlackBerry outage

Nokia are so shamlessly self-important with their social networking application, attaching itself to every status update.
