X-Factor: Australia

Anyone watching this?

Even though I normally don't like mainstream music, I get caught up in these shows all the time

Emmanuelle made me cry

This lady is the cutest thing ever

Re: X-Factor: Australia

I've been watching, and got addicted.

The groups are my favourites this year. I hope Hype make it through this time - not a fan of their new name, but the girl has great vocals. I'm a bit worried about the group dynamics though, as Lazy J and Big Guy seem very close to each other whereas the girl just sorta stands there on her own, looking lonely on stage. Big Guy looks hotter than last year :P

The other group that I liked was Straight Up. The girl reminds me of Jessie J, and the boy Jay Sean lol.

P.S. Surprised at Ronan choosing those twins.

Re: X-Factor: Australia

I've got to admit, the twins actually make me crack up so hard They are still terrible singers though. I think Ronan sees this over the top eurovision type act with them that would really take off in Europe....but I mean...this is Australian xfactor, so I don't know.

I don't watch the X Factor but I know Ross Pirrelli of Audio Vixen.

Inspiration is for amateurs

Re: X-Factor: Australia

Mel B is apparently causing lots of troubles...she called Guy boring, Ronan in love with himself and Natalie fake. I think they are trying to hard to replace Kyle's controversial character. Although it'd probably be boring without a hard-ass though

Re: X-Factor: Australia

Mel B will not win. The girls are very weak this year and I don't understand why she wants them to be able to sing and dance. Even to an Adele song. Hell, even Adele just sits there and sings, but she's still able to command attention with her voice.

Fuming at Guy for letting go of Emmanuel and breaking up Josh and Johnny.

I think they have potential and they're a huge gimmick, but it's also a little unfair to the contestants who have actually worked hard over the years to improve. I feel bad for Straight Up, they deserved a place in the top 24.

Young Men's Society are completely boring and I can't even tell if they're good singers because anyone sounds fine doing a 4 part harmony.

Re: X-Factor: Australia

I'm torn between Three Wishez and Hype. Hope they both go through. If Ronan puts the twins through, it will be a tragedy, but I just might enjoy watching the trainwreck on the live shows.

Re: X-Factor: Australia

I think Hype put on a more polished final performance. Those two tattooed guys were right, the rapper in Three Wishez should just rap, he is a good rapper...but his singing is just not good and it's taking away from the other two who are really good singers. Ronan would be stupid to put upfront through, although their vocals were 100x better than before, the other groups just sing circles around them...they're mentally unstable and not even good dancers. They have personality, I mean ok yeah, they make me laugh, but come on...please..

The boys, well Reece a god damn superstar already, he can do no wrong, his voice is just sublime, he has presence and a good look. I also like uhh, Rob and Declan's voice is really cool, but his look is just...yeah. I think the boys are really strong, I worry about that builders ability in front of a live band, he could go either way, flourish with his dancing or just get lost in the music as his voice is not the strongest.

Marina needs to get through, I realise she doesn't have commercial appeal in the mainstream, but her voice is fricken out of this world. I think the audience will take to the nut salesman (what is a nut salesman anyway?), he has a great voice, I was a little dissapointed with that last performance, but his voice is very powerful...he could definitely have some show stoppers in live performances. I really like Cleo (I think that's her name) too, her look is just there, she looks like a superstar, just gorgeous, she just doesn't have enough confidence at this stage, still think sh is worth a put through.

I think the girls are good, there is just no one amazing...no complete package. Amy's voice is stunning, it's really cool but she looks like a young boy got into his mother's dresser. I think Amy, Tyla and Christina will get through. Nough said
