The revolution jumps to Malaysia

BTW, I realize that Anwar has been trying for years to get democracy there, and was jailed last decade on trumped up charges of both corruption, and sodomy (which is illegal there).

Edit: BTW, I did see the other thread on the country, but its about longterm perceptions, not this evolving news story.

well, as far as I understand, Malaysia is already a democratic country, no? Or maybe sort of.
The protest is mainly to fight for our rights to have a cleaner and fairer election as far as I'm concerned.

Good for them. Sadly when you fight for your rights often times blood gets shed.

The woods are hopeless. Don't waste your time, they will be destroyed. So will the marsh. It is a losing game mankind has played for more than a century. Sadness is what you are, do not deny it. The universe is a lonely place, a painful place. This is what we can share between us, period.

But will it be televised?

"If you practice for ten years, you may begin to please yourself, after 20 years you may become a performer and please the audience, after 30 years you may please even your guru, but you must practice for many more years before you finally become a true artist—then you may please even God." --Ali Akbar Khan, 1922-2009

As we all know the revolution will NOT be televised.

Well, none of this was televised properly. I'm actually afraid to comment as it may come back to haunt me.

To no one's surprise the organiser of Bersih 2.0 Singapore is also in trouble.

A single flow'r he sent me, since we met./All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet - One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;/'My fragile leaves,' it said, 'his heart enclose.'
Love long has taken for his amulet/One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet/One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it's always just my luck to get/One perfect rose.

If "retired" leader Dr. Mathir Mohammed's "alpha son" wasn't a rumoured closet gay, he'd have wanted a piece of her a long time ago.
