Best Final Fantasy game and character :D

Does anyone here like the Final Fantasy games?

And if so, which one's your favourite one?

I hope there isn't already a thread, but I'm only getting back into Final Fantasy now and would be fun to discuss about FF

Re: Final Fantasy anyone?

*raises hand*

At least when I was younger, that is. I played FF7, FF8 and FF9 on old PlayStation

I'm old now and don't play anymore. I only play puzzle games on DS.

Re: Final Fantasy anyone?

OMG FF8 was the first one I played and I fell in love with it.

That was when I was little and now that I want to get back into it, I'm getting FF8 and 9 from eBay.

What was 7 like? Apparently it's one of the best ones, but for me. 8 and 9 are the best ones/

FF 6, 7, and 9

I liked 4, 8 and 10 too.

Series totally lost the plot for me after 10 though

10-2 I've played but not 10.

And I didn't like 12 because the fighting system is weird but 13 I like.

I want another really FANTASY one like 9.

Re: Final Fantasy anyone?

I played both 7 and Final Fantasy Tactics when I was younger, I loved them both. I tried 8 a year or so ago and I couldn't get into it like I did when I was a kid. I've never played any others.

10 is decent, 10-2 was meh to me and I couldn't even finish 12 Bad fighting system and BORING story! I have not even bothered with 13.

13 is quite good actually, I like it. But I don't know, it's probably not to everyone's taste

Re: Final Fantasy anyone?

Love the series. First one for me was IV and it was amazing.

My favorites were 7, 10, and 12.

Agree with some that 10-2 was meh..but I would go as far and say it was bad.

12 was really really fun for me. I was not going to buy it but Dragon Quest 8 came with a demo and I tried it out one night. Loved the quests and chaining enemies. I liked to go back and poach enemies that I had problems with like Wild Sauarian and Greeden Too bad they made the enemies HP lower than the Japanese versions. I have 13 sitting around..but still have not played it.

I hated FF9 and didn't finished the first disc

FF7 is the best RPG game ever I've played. FF8 is also great.

Re: Final Fantasy anyone?

FF9 is so underrated. I love the visuals and the overall feel and gameplay. It's also one those rare installments where I actually cared about every characters' backgrounds.

FF13 is a linear mess. And don't get me started on FF8.

Re: Final Fantasy anyone?

I love Final Fantasy too

FFVII is something out of this world. The music, characters, storyline- it's so unique and unprecedented for it's time, and you can still play it now and be swept away by it's profundity and vision. All the characters- Aeris, Cloud, Tifa, Red XIII, Vincent, Barrett, Yuffie, Cid, Sephiroth, Bugenhagen etc - such heartwarming memories of playing that game, I could still play it again and again if I had the time.

The only thing inferior of FFVII to the other FF games are the graphics, but when you play it for hours and hours, you become used to it and it doesn't affect the level of enjoyment! Besides, the clips that play throughout are pretty good quality. If you haven't played it, I strongly recommend it because you will love it! I can't stress how great FFVII is, it's my favourite console game i've ever played!

Also played 8, 10 and part of 13. 8 is pretty good, a really great game too with interesting characters and a compelling plot, and much better graphics. And 10 is probably my second favourite, it's surely the second most popular after 7. The gameplay is probably the best, it's quicker and more thrilling, also about a group of people saving the world with a lot of depth to it.

Re: Final Fantasy anyone?

Final Fantasy 7 was the one I was most familiar with, and it was incredible, so deep, beautiful...it was the first time I ever shed a tear at events in a videogame!

One of the greatest games ever, with vivid characters, great story, twists and turns. I also love the fair amount of freedom one had to leave behind the main story and pursue side quests or just kill time in the arcade! I love such freedom in a game.

Can I recommend Shenmue here, which I had on the Dreamcast, it had similar great production values, and was a joy to play.

Manchester City 2011 FA Cup winners! 2012 Premier League Champions! 2014 League Cup winners and Premier League Champions! At last!!!!!

Looks like I'm getting VII

I lost my FFIX bid on eBay with 5 seconds left and my iPhone didn't load on time for me to raise my bid
