Smile Holiday in Barcelona

Hi guys I'm going to holiday in Barcelona at July for 5 nights. I want some advice on places to go to see and what is the best place to eat in barcelona. There will be 6 of us going and we are not really beach lovers more food lovers and shopholics but any advice will be welcome.
Thanks.

If you are a foodie, La Boqueria is a must. I also went to a really good tapas bar but I can't remember what it's called but it's just down from the Picasso Museum.

Vacation, Vacation, Vacation on channel 4 did a feature on Barcelona so that programme might be of some use to you, if you can stand Phil and Kirsty.

The tapas bar down from the Picasso museum is truly fantastic, but I cannot remember the name either. Museum itself is quite dull.
There was that crazy architect with the wacky buildings, cannot remember his name, do an architecture tour. The sex museum is horrible, I would skip that. The aquarium is cool.

Speaking of Kirsty and Phil until recently my mum always thought Kirsty and Phil are real couple and always said why Phil and Kristy are having babies. and I told her the fact that they are not real couple but they are more couple like most real couples.

No sex museum for us. Since one of them is only 14.

Re: Holiday in Barcelona

I think the architect is Gaudi, there's a whacked cathedral by him that is still being finished, really funny details if you look. There are many other more traditional cathedrals that are nice. It's the type of city you can wander about and just explore and have fun.

I did a bus tour up the mountain to the Olympic stadium, nice view of the city, but the stadium is surprisingly small, looks like a high school football stadium to be honest. Monteserrat is another bus trip, that is worth it, a pretty cathredal up in the mountains, that's a half-day tour, but I would do it again.

It's a great city, have fun!!

The problem is the 14 year old is from Middle Class Hong Kong not an Urban Estate in the UK and she will be coming with her Mum.
