US Open 2011 Tickets

Hi guys,

I don't post here often, so please forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong section.

Thing is, I'm going to be in New York this year for the first two days' of play at the US Open, so I thought I'd make the most of the opportunity and try to catch some tennis. Problem is, I have no idea how the ticket sale system works. I've seen on Ticketmaster that they're on sale for USTA members at the moment, but I was wondering if anyone knew when they go on sale to the general public and how easy/difficult they are to get hold of?

Any other advice/info would be much appreciated.

Re: US Open 2011 Tickets

End of May/early June. American Express presale first. Sale for general public a week later. Good tickets are gone within seconds of going on sale. USTA sale was last Saturday. I was online from get-go, 900am, I didn't get what I wanted, that is, First Saturday Arthur Ashe tickets. I guess, they were gone within milliseconds..
So, think of sale as something that really goes quick.
Or you can buy on secondary market, probably you'll pay 20-30% premium.

Ah, ok. Thank you so much for that, really helpful. I'll keep an eye out and just give it a shot on then.
