McDonald's jobs: Can it hire 50,000 workers in a day?

McDonald's Corp. is hiring in a big way. On April 19, the fast-food giant hopes to hire 50,000 Americans in a single day.

Those include part-time and full-time crew members as well as managers in locations around the country.

And while flipping burgers may not sound like a big boost to America's job recovery, it's not something to pooh-pooh, either.

"McDonald's average wage is well above the minimum wage, it's in the $8.30 range said Jan Fields on CNN."

Re: McDonald's jobs: Can it hire 50,000 workers in a day?

It may be hard to believe but it can also be possible that mcDonalds could hire this much in a day. I find this issue great that at least McDonald’s is doing its share to melt through the recession hiring freeze. The United States job industry is slowly beginning to thaw, and McDonald's is planning to turn up the heat. On April 19, through its United States stores and site, McDonald's will hold an employment spree event in which up to 50,000 individuals could be hired. Improved business and the drive to make more U.S. McDonald's locations 24-hour spurred the mass hiring spree. I read this here: McDonald's hiring spree will produce 50,000 jobs on April 19.
