Roxette singer Marie Fredriksson was recovering after doctors in Sweden successfully removed a brain tumour, her manager said.
The tumour was discovered after Fredriksson fainted and hit her head against a sink three weeks ago at her home in Stockholm.
Fredriksson underwent brain surgery at Karolinska Hospital on Monday, her manager Marie Dimberg said in a press release.
"The surgery took almost four hours and as the medical team was able to remove the entire tumour, the operation was very successful," Dimberg said.
She said Fredriksson was doing very well under the circumstances but would spend the rest of the year at home to recuperate.
The surgery forced Fredriksson and her partner Per Gessle to cancel a European tour later this month.
The duo is known for hits like "Joyride" and "The Look".
