Carey gets her award before being robbed at the Oscars.

Pretty good list and probably not to be repeated at the Oscars in terms of the major awards. Jeff will beat Colin and Sandra seems likely to beat Carey.

Really glad to see wins for the excellent Moon and Fish Tank which not many people saw but are worth searching for imo. I still haven't seen Avatar (my first attempt was thwarted by a ticketing error!) but I have seen The Hurt Locker and that's a very worthy winner. But again, a film that not many have seen. I don't think those in charge of the Oscar telecast will be particularly happy to see this. Their audience figures always go up when a big populist film sweeps - they'll be hoping Avatar takes the lot.

love that the hurt locker got so much recognition after being screwed over at the golden globes. hopefully the hurt locker will wipe the floor overratedtar at the oscars.
