Spartacus: Blood and Sand--Anyone Else watching?

This show started out really slow but NOW , it is awesome. I think Episode 5 was the best so far. They have the first two episodes on iTunes for free download.

So, anyone else watching my favorite couple Crixus and Naevia? And all those gorgeous naked men and women?

I haven't seen the latest episode. But I don't think it is anywhere near as good as HBO's Rome. This series has very thin storylines. But the sex scenes are good.

Oh I LOVED Rome! And I made the same comparison with the first episode but now I think it's different and the story it's telling is of another aspect of ancient Rome. If you watch episodes 4 and 5 you'll see the writing is stronger, the characterizations are beginning to take shape and the conflict on many fronts is starting to come into play. It's very engrossing and engaging. Here's a link to a TV reviewer who felt much the same as you and me at first, but is now a convert as well:

I loved Rome! except season 2 seemed so rushed. I guess since it was canceled.

Hardly Rome caliber, but then again, what is. Rather more of a guilty pleasure...

Re: Spartacus: Blood and Sand--Anyone Else watching?

i have no idea about this series, but while i was browsing a "not safe for work" video site i caught a scene where gorgeous Lucy Lawless was being.."served" by a female servant and i nearly had a heart attack. If the show features more similar girl on girl scenes count me in as a big fan.

I also loved the fact so many of the cast were Irish, like even in that scene 2 of the 3 were Irish.

The CGI in Spartacus kinda annoys me, but it is still an good series, a guilty pleasure as was said.

The fabulous Lucy Lawless (yes Xena fans!) plays Lucretia, one of the main characters of the series. Have a look at the women in the show:

Re: Spartacus: Blood and Sand--Anyone Else watching?

I loved Rome, have both seasons on DVD, sad it got cancelled, HBO has said that they regret that decision many times.

Spartacus does have thinner storylines but its a good show and of course all the sex is sweet, the naked men and woo Very hot.

And you cannot go wrong with Lucy Lawless, she is amazing no matter what role she plays!

Re: Spartacus: Blood and Sand--Anyone Else watching?

Wow, the last few episodes have been REALLY awesome. Last night? Lucretia showed that SHE is the mistress of schemes. Giving Spartacus to Illythia instead of Crixus like she wanted (but we knew Lucretia wasn't giving up Crixus), well THAT was just evil. And Crixus and Naevia continue to make my heart leap out of my chest. I hope they never get caught but no much luck of that happening.

I'm already sad that there are only four episodes left in the first season.

I love it and I agree, last nights episode was amazing. I loved Lucy Lawless in it last night.

And honestly that sex scene from the beginning till end was just wow. It left my breath away, everything looked mystical, and vivid and hot. It left me speechless and not much does that!
