Re: Dexter

My mama has been begging me to watch this, apparently it's out of control awesome.

I might start marathoning it after I'm finished with S1 of Glee. Talk about a change of genre... LOL

OMG!! what an ending

John Lithgow was outstanding
It's time for Dexter to beat Mad Men (although I love both)

Agreed. "Joey" is just a poor man's Doakes.

My favorite seasons in order were:

#2 Lila just "lit up" the season if you know what I mean. The whole Dexter showdown with Doakes is
just priceless-and the headbutting scene just rocked!

#1 contains my favorite episode. Dearly demented Dex visits a Therapist. It has one of the best lines:
"I can't kill my therapist yet, I need one more session!

#4 Trinity liked good 50s songs, but Rick James "Super Freak" would have been more appropriate. He's the creppiest bad guy by far.

#3 For some reason this is my least favorite season.

I find La Guerta annoying. skanky~skanketta noted her best episode. It's in season 1 where she wants to protect the little boy who sees Jesus. She was really funny too in season one when she was hitting on Dex.

Rita to Dex: "Are you boning her [La Guerta]????"
Dex: "God no! What makes you think that?"

I miss Doakes!

I thought DEXTER fans may be interested in seeing this

http://entertainment.pastapadre.com/...ratings-record

Dexter Breaks Showtime Ratings Record

The season four finale of Dexter captured record ratings for original programming on Showtime. Growing 71% over the season three finale it drew over 2.5 million viewers at 9pm and over 3 million including the replay later in the evening. It was the biggest broadcast on Showtime overall since a 1999 Mike Tyson fight.

A direct beneficiary of Dexter’s success has been Californication which airs right after. It was up 72% over its previous season finale pulling in 1.1 million viewers. Californication was renewed earlier this year after it showed a 60% jump in its season premiere and ratings were strong throughout the season.

What did you think of the finales for Dexter and Californication? I was riveted throughout the episode of Dexter and knew that something big was coming but it was still a shock to see it play out that way. The entire season was great and it’ll be fascinating to see where they take the story from here. I also enjoyed the conclusion to the season of Californication and my interest in the show may have been saved. I had started to grow tired of the over-the-top nature with no real consequences being faced.

Trust me-odds are you'll like it.

However, when I was out searching for pirated box sets (which I get for 4 ringgit (1USD) ) I couldn't find anything except Dexter so I was like "ugh, fine. I'll give this a shot). And I'm totally in love with it!
Okay. You guys have me convinced. I'll check it out.

Re: Dexter

Was i the only one who was underwhelmed by this season of Dexter ? I mean Michael Hall seemed disinterested and bored playing Dexter. He is a fab actor but the show is starting to get a little boring for me. The writing is no longer tight and the editing needs to be more crisp. There are so many loopholes in the story that it feels like the writers don't even care to make it realistic. It has lost the edge and shock-factor that made the show what it was in the first 3 seasons. The last few minutes of the season were a little shocking but by then it was too late to save the season imo.

I loved the show but was disspointed by this season. I hope Michael Hall is a little more into the character in the next season.

Yes. I watch Dexter faithfully and I'm totally shocked at the ending. It has to be a dream.
