Re: Dexter

Woah. That was quite an intense episode.

Glad Liddy's dead though.
LaGuerta doing something nice for Deb
Not enough Masuka though.

Deb maybe catching Dex in the act will be crazy.

Re: Dexter

Deb is not going to catch Dexter in the act. Not only was this show renewed for one more season, but it's expected to carry on enough beyond that. Were we definitely going into the last season after this, it would be reasonable for Deb to catch Dexter. As it is, it looks like we're going to have to be patient. I would guess that two completely unrelated scenes were put together to make the preview appear more interesting than it really is.

All that being said, I'm definitely looking forward to the finale. I'm hopeful that they won't just kill Lumen in a repeat of either Rita or Miguel. Been there, done that, writers.

Re: Dexter

For a moment I thought Quinn was going to be put away, but now it's more increasingly looking like Jordan kills Lumen and then Dexter kills Jordan for the great finale. The script with Debra finally finding out the truth about her brother shouldn't be written off yet methinks, I think the final episode might have an open ending and we'll have to wait until Season Six how it eventually pans out...

I don't think I've read one possible theory where Lumen ends up living

I think Deb could possibly catch Dex in the act. She would connect it to Lumen and what she went through, plus rage on Dexter's part for what happened to Rita. None of that would automatically make Deb suspect Dexter of other killings.

Me too-and ditto on Lumen. Let her moon-light live!

Also LOVING the preview for the finale, will Deb catch Dex? (I am assuming it's clever editing and it will be Lumen instead or something)
How about Deb catching Jordan about to kill Lumen? Then somehow no-contact boy gets the knife or bullet?

Showtime renews 'Dexter' for Season 6

"Dexter" has been so good this season that renewing it for Season 6 was "the easiest decision I’ve made since I got to Showtime," network boss David Nevins says. "Dexter," starring Michael C. Hall as a forensics expert who moonlights as a serial killer, is up 43 percent this season and scored the second-highest ratings of its run (after the shattering Season 4 finale) for the 10th episode of the current season.

Season 6 will go into production next spring, Showtime said, with a premiere expected in the fall.

As a "Dexter" fan, I think this has been a strong season, with Dexter trying to rebound from tragedy, raise son Harrison and keep up his work. But I'm not sure I can guess why ratings have been so impressive. What do you think? Is it the presence of Julia Stiles as his new partner in crime (so to speak), Lumen?

Re: Dexter

I've been defending this entire season when many people said it was rubbish, but that finale was such a letdown. I want the last 12 weeks of my life back

Re: Dexter

I thought it was good... No Dexter until September, that will be a very long wait for me.

I think Dexter and viewers deserved a happy ending this season.
