Unhappy I need some help identifying a raquet .

Recently I had the guy I took tennis lessons from for 3 years restring two of my racquets. While in his possession he claims one was stolen from him. He explained this to me and told me that he would keep an eye out for the racquet at the tennis club.

Now 2 months later and he won't return a phone call. Now, I've decided that best thing I can do is find out how much it is worth and confront him. however, I did not buy this racquet myself. It was my brothers old one. As a result, I do not know which model it is.

I do know that is was a Head L4 model of 2004. it was a burnt orange and black.
Does anyone know what it might be called? My coach made it seem like it was valuable since it was a good racquet, in good condition and was hard to find. especially, since there was a much newer version of the same racquet with the one that was stolen. Why else would they have taken the old one?

Whatever it is, it is probably worth $100 or less used. If you can get $50 from him, consider yourself lucky.

Edit: better yet, since he teaches and you took lessons from him, bargain for some free time, maybe 90 minutes? Also you can talk to the club where he does his stringing/teaching, make sure they know what happened. Don't expect a lot, but you should get a little compensation, just enough to make you feel OK about it.

if it was stolen while in his possession isn't he liable for covering the cost of it to you?

Blowing out someone else's candle does not make yours shine brighter.

I love some of those Head Intelligence racquets. Used to play with the i.S10, then settled on the i.S9 for quite a while. Moved to a more control-oriented racquet now, but still nice to see those. I often run into people still playing with one or another from the whole series.
