American NCAA has killed USA Track& Field

Yep it's official, Beijing Worst Olympics ever for USA Track and Field, and Berlin 2009, Worst World Championships ever for USA Track and Field. It has totally fallen apart in only 2 years. the NCAA schools like LSU, USC, Florida, UCLA, Texas, Arkansas, TCU, are too blame! THE NCAA simply allows a free pass for Caribbean sprinters to train in the USA and use our facilities and coaching. Thus allowing the Caribbean nations to catch up and at this point surpass the USA in sprinting. Unbelievable really! Perhaps the USOC should enforce the NCAA to limit the amount of foreign scholarships to non-American born athletes, the same thing is going on in swimming as well!

USTF Presiden....."Youre FIRED" LOL!

Re: American NCAA has killed USA Track& Field

the USOC has no control over how different colleges and universities decide to apportion scholarships.

Re: American NCAA has killed USA Track& Field

I know the USOC has no influence on the NCAA, However the NCAA is certainly somewhat responsible for the success of teh Caribbean nations at Track! For example some 20-something year old guy from the Barbados jsut beat 2 American veterans in teh 110m HIgh Hurdles???? WTF? Who guess what trains at an American University, as well as the silver medalist from Panama who beat 2 American runners to silver. It would be an interesting discussion if the USCO puts some pressure on the NCAA! Seriously!

Yes, god forbid some foreigners are actually better than Americans at something.

Well, don't the American athletes have the same access to those facilities? I don't think Usain Bolt attended an American college.

Re: American NCAA has killed USA Track& Field

I think the rest of the world has just got better.

Jamaica is dominating athletics at the moment in all the events that the USA normally does well in so theres most of the success gone.

GOOD LUCK IN 2014 GB TENNIS GIRLS

Blowing out someone else's candle does not make yours shine more brightly.

(thanks, Sally Struthers.)

A single flow'r he sent me, since we met./All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet - One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;/'My fragile leaves,' it said, 'his heart enclose.'
Love long has taken for his amulet/One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet/One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it's always just my luck to get/One perfect rose.

The universities have been helping out foregin athletes for years, now when the USA isn't winning it is suddenly an issue.

With a username like "JUSTICE4ALL", shouldn't you fight for equal training opportunities for every athletes?
