Should I tell people how I feel about them?

I always hide my feelings around people because i don't want them to know that i am sad, angry or any other feelings. I get very emotional because i am afraid to tell people what i am feeling about what they have done to me.

My mum, my sister and friends have been telling lots of people that i am gay. I get really pissed off how they've never ask a permission if they could tell someone that i am gay. I just rather tell people that i am gay so i know that they knows i'm gay. I just hate it when i don't know if someone knows i'm gay. I don't really care if they are supportive or unsupportive, seriously.

3 yrs ago, when i was having a HIV scare (I did tell my mum and my step dad about it and they were very supportive), my mum immediately told my sister about. (She was in London at the time) My sister said on the phone that she was very angry with me. (luckily, i am still negative)

There are many other things that people have been telling my secrets to other people. I always prefer not to tell them how i feel because i don't want to feel that it is all about ME.

I'm just scared to tell them about how i feel. I just don't get how people tell other people about someone's secret. It drives me so angry and depressed

Sometimes you just have to say it out in order to let them realize they're hurting you in one sense.
Or else, your secret will be known by almost everyone beside you.

Once you share a secret with someone, it no longer becomes a secret.

Ask your family to respect your privacy by all means but I think you have to learn that the only way to guarantee them not telling one another is not to tell them in the first place.

There's no point in getting angry about it as it's human nature. You have to weigh up the risks and benefits and make a choice.

Tell them.

I'm so sick of this political correctness bullshit, keeping everyone happy. I only say things about a person if I'm fully intent on saying it to their face anyway. People are so used to thinking, like 'Oh, who cares, they won't say anything'. The look on their face is deer-in-the-headlights, utter shock when someone does say what they feel. It's really quite hilarious, I love inflicting that on somebody.

Telling people how you feel about them is fun. You should try it more often. After a while, it becomes second nature. Embrace your future second nature, Brett. Unless, of course, you can make money off of them. Then lie.

You should tell them how you feel, but don't make a big deal of it and shout and get emotional or anything. Just quietly mention that you'd rather they didn't

Re: Should I tell people how I feel about them?

I think you should definetly tell them how you feel, especially because this is your family , not some strangers. These people have to accept your will and should be closest to you and do what's best for you since your life is the matter here.. Keeping things inside too much can't ever do well, so I honestly think you should talk to them since it bothers you and you need to get it off your chest

Good Luck

How you feel, and how you feel about them, are two different things.

How you feel, yes.

How you feel about them, no.
