Re: Yemeni plane crashes off Comoros with over 150 on board
According to wikipedia, this tiny airline with only 12 airplanes had 4 incidents since 2000:
On 2000 June 26, 7O-ACQ, a Boeing 737-200, was lost on landing at Khartoum International Airport, in Khartoum, Sudan, there were no fatalities.
On 2001 January 21, flight IY448, a Boeing 727-200 was hijacked at Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport, in Djibouti City, Djibouti, there were no fatalities.
On 2001 August 1, 7O-ACW, a Boeing 727-200 was lost due to a runway overrun at Asmara International Airport, in Asmara, Eritrea, there were no fatalities, the aircraft was written off.
On 2009 June 30, 70-ADJ flight IY626, an Airbus A310, SAH-HAH (Sana'a Yemen to Moroni, Comoros) crashed with 154 aboard shortly before landing. Officials say it crashed somewhere in the Comoros archipelago in the Indian Ocean.
And what I hate most, codesharing (you book sth like a quality airline and end up on a seller of souls like that) with:
EgyptAir, Felix Airways, Etihad Airways, Kuwait Airways, Middle East Airlines, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Syrian Air
Most passengers are said having started their journey in France. Again.
Eugenie Bouchard - Naomi Osaka
