I visit Naples almost annually for a long weekend for work. There is a lovely downtown area with shops and restaurants. There is a lot of nice golf, there's a Greg Norman course on the other side of 95 that I play maybe every other time, it's Tiburon or something. It's a place to eat, shop, and do very little else. There's not much to see or do.
I was there for a conference last year. It's full of white old grannies. The beaches are very nice, and I think that's all what there is in the area. I went a couple of times to the "downtown" (on the weekend), and it was empty with no life.
