The All Time Olympic Games Medal Table

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-tim...es_medal_count

What do you think about it?
Which are the countries that surprised you with their places?
Where is your country ranked?
Which are the countries too look for in this Olympics except the big names of top 10?
How many medals is your country gonna win according to you?

My country changed 10 names throughout the history, so it is kinda unknown how many medals Serbia won.

Romania surprised me

Stay away.

I am really surprised by how many medals Sweden has won in the Summer Olympics (in the 400s) although they've probably participated in almost all editions and used to be a pretty strong sports nation

I'm surprised at how many countrys have zero medals ( or very few ) at the Winter Olympics. I know allot of them are in hot climates, but its still surprising . Norway is #1 in the Winter Olympics Medal count .

I'm amazed at the HUGE drop off in medals after US #1 and then Russia #2. Finland and Norway have done very well in both Winter and Summer Olympics... All in all a very interesting chart to browse through .

For Croatia in Beijing only Blanka Vlasic will surely win a medal in high jump, there are many other candidates (handball, waterpolo, swimming...) but not as certain as Vlasic!

Re: The All Time Olympic Games Medal Table

Shows how important sports have been in Scandinavia but nowadays we are too lazy to train and compete at the highest level OK maybe in wintersports we still manage to survive but generally speaking the way of life in western Europe is too easy today and children have so many other things to do besides sports, so African, Asian and Eastern European athletes are slowly taking over in the Olympics games

Finland has a chance to take 4-6 medals, nothing much compared to our toll of 295 medals in the summer games only
