In between her busy schedule of lip injections and running over paparazzi, Brit takes time out for the kids. Just not hers
Britney gears up to match wits with Oscar the Grouch
Seeing their mother on Sesame Street
may be the most contact Sean Preston and Jayden James have with wayward parent Britney Spears these days.
Yes – you read that correctly – the scandal-plagued singer is reportedly making an appearance on the popular children’s series, where she will perform a duet alongside long-time Street resident Oscar the Grouch.
Singing a version of her hit song “Toxic”, with lyrics changed to be more kid-friendly, Brit is said to be hoping the appearance will help clean up her tarnished image. "It's a chance to prove she can be a wholesome girl,” a source told the Daily Star.
Um, I think Brit’s got a way to go before reaching “wholesome” status.
The 25-year-old recently lost access to her two sons with former back-up dancer Kevin Federline after failing to comply with a judge's order.
Adding fuel to the fire is a report from Britney’s parenting coach that paints a less-than-flattering portrait of the clueless mum, including such observations as the following:
“Britney’s often distracted and in her own world when she has the kids and has a hard time focusing.”
“She is adamant that she doesn’t have to listen to anybody – that it’s her way or the highway.”
Uh-oh, Brit, time to pull your socks up.
Oh well, perhaps your stint on Sesame Street
really will work wonders. And if that fails, just remember that catchy Sesame
line: “Come and play, everything’s A-OK.”
