Anyone just started/starting University in GB?

...if so, at which university and what course?

I start studying Law at the University of Durham a week today.

I am looking forward to Freshers week but I'm also a bit nervous.

How has your experience been so far?

I know just--just what you are--ah-ah.

English at Southampton . I'm scared too!

One, because this uni was the only one to not show their accommodation on the open day and it's been described as "liveable " on a uni website called Push.

Two, it takes me AGES to get to know people and by that time it feels like others have made so many friends and swapped details with everyone leaving me solo .

Three, I'm worried about being the odd one out of my housemates. I don't want to go out drinking or partying, I just would be too nervous and not enjoy myself, yet every club and leaflet seems to advertise that. What about people who don't want to go out and get drunk ?

I Nadal. Serena Williams. Venus Williams

Like: Haas. Tsonga. Kiefer. Bartoli. Mirza. Zheng. Bolleli. Safina. Mauresmo. Monfils.Jie.

Hate: Djokovic. Lubjicic. Sharapova. Murray. Dementieva. Soderling.

Total and utter ditto on the taking ages to get to know people front. I really don't get how some people just gel IMMEDIATELY. Like we are going to be going out on the first night, but I am not going to know anyone. How is that going to work?!

Eww! Students... I just finished being a student. I had a great time at Bath. So good luck everyone just starting Don't worry if going out and drinking isn't your thing- you don't have to follow everyone else like sheep. I get sick and tired especially of bitchy girls who think that if you don't you out and get drunk and then spew up everywhere you don't have a life. Seriously if I didn't find the majority of British girls to be shallow ugly slappers I probably would never have turned out gay. Sorry British girls- I like some of you- mwah!

PS I did occasionally go out get drunk and spew my guts everywhere- but only on special occasions

I'm at Warwick studying Ancient History. I'm just starting my second year. Don't worry you'll be fine, I was nervous at first, but it soon passed and I had a great time. There's lots of different people at uni, so if you find some friends that you like to do similar things with you'll be fine

My best friend is at Southampton. She hated living in halls. The walls were paper thin and the communal areas were nasty according to her.

My godbro is studying Bio-Engineering at University of Sunderland - he just arrived 2 weeks ago. And Sunderland wasn't up to his expectations...
