Calling All Non-American Teens (Ages 15-19)

I'm a writer for my school newsmagazine, and we always have this fun segment that profiles students our age who live outside the USA.

If you would like to submit yourself, just answer these questions:

1. What is your name?
2. How old are you?
3. What level of schooling do you attend? (Secondary/High school, Uni etc.)
4. Where do you live?
5. What is school like?
6. What do you think is the stereotype of your people (Argentines, Czechs, French etc)
7. What is the stereotype of Americans in your country? American teenagers?
8. What is the food like?
9. What music do you like to listen to?
10. Is there anything you want us to know about people fromy our country?

Please PM me your responses. If possible, I would love photos of you/your friends/your school.

Get yourself free publicity! I can show you scans of past editions. (On Brazil and Australia)

Re: Calling All Non-American Teens (Ages 15-19)

1. What is your name? Charles-David Mathieu-Poulin
2. How old are you? 19
3. What level of schooling do you attend? (Secondary/High school, Uni etc.) University
4. Where do you live? I live in Quebec City, but stay in Montreal for school.
5. What is school like? I always liked school and that keeps on happening right now in University. School consists of 5 classes per term on average, most are tought by proeminent scientists or researchers to classes that vary from 10 to 200 people. The teachers are approachable. School reputation is very important and people are proud of going to the *best school in Canada*.
6. What do you think is the stereotype of your people (Argentines, Czechs, French etc) We canadians are often seen as a very pacifist nation. It's often seen that we aren't a threat in anything. Some people still think we live in igloos with beavers sadly Some people also think we all speak french (though french is my first language). The word gay is also often used to describe us (which is also true in my case )
7. What is the stereotype of Americans in your country? American teenagers?
Very patriotic, often overweight. Loves the multinationals such as WalMart or McDo. Dress bad (ok that's maybe a personnal one )
8. What is the food like?
Food varies. Canada (especially Quebec) is a great mix between European and American cultures. It's seen in the food too. Probably very similar to the USA, though with special items such as poutine or the use of maple syrup in everything
9. What music do you like to listen to?
I personnally listen to pop. This includes American bands/singers, as well as local French speaking Quebec artists. I'm also very into the British pop male singers.
10. Is there anything you want us to know about people fromy our country?
That we are very open-minded and multicultural, very welcoming, that we have great places to visit and we deserve more attention!

Hope that worked
