Random vent... my computer crashed with all my notes; finals start next week
This is a random vent. I bought a MacBook last July and love it very much. I've had no problems with it; like most people at my school, I take my computer to all my classes and take all my notes on my computer. My finals start next week, and I've already studied a good 15-20 hours over the past couple weeks. In fact, I'd already created a 20-page outline for my Public Health Law class and was about halfway done outlining the entire semester. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, my computer wouldn't turn on today. I called Apple and they told me that it's likely a major hardware problem and that I need to send my computer in to be repaired.
They said that they probably won't be able to recover a single thing from my hard drive. ALL my notes (as well as this outline that I've spent so long making) are on it, as well as a ton of my personal files.
They also said that it could take over a week to get my computer back to me. If I don't have it back by the time I take my first final, that means I have to handwrite it, putting me at a major disadvantage. (In-class exams at my school are 3 hours long, and people usually type 20-25 pages during the exam period. If you handwrite, you can't even write half that much)
I'm just so sad. I've worked so hard all semester and I want to do my best on exams, but that just doesn't seem possible at this point
