...most anticipated films of 2007

I guess this is the time, around Cannes and after Sundance, that we start to anticipate what would be the best films of 2007 from my limited knowledge I would have to say that these are my top picks :

The Golden Age ( The sequel to "Elizabeth" and this time around she WILL win her Oscar for Best Actress )
There Will be Blood
The Wind that Shakes the Barley
Trade
The Lookout (Joshep Gordon-Levit's Oscar ticket )
Bella (I'm hearing wonderful things about this indi film and can't wait for fall )
La Misma Luna (another wonderful indie film with some buzz)

from the foreign front I hear director Aleksander Sokurov has a new film for Cannes "Alexandra". Let's hope this new film gets him some overdue love and awards Plus I'm exited to hear what films come out of Spain, Germany, and Mexico this time around.

...any other films we should look for?

Well I want to see Golden Age, but why did they have to cast Samantha Morton? Ugh. Hopefully, she has very few scenes.

Cate's landmark film after The New World I never thought I would see more beautiful scenery...but this one looks to be a real work of art.

Re: ...most anticipated films of 2007

I'm most looking forward to the Harry Potter film

I don't care about Spiderman 3 cos I tried watching the first one & fell asleep & thus never bothered with the second And I still haven't bothered watching the second Pirates of the Caribbean film so can't be arsed with the 3rd one of that either...and most other films I'm interested in are still in production or pre-production & so probably won't be out this year...

Petra Kvitová
Wimbledon - 11, 14

Svetlana Kuznetsova
Roland Garros - 09 US Open - 04

Re: ...most anticipated films of 2007

They may release Jurassic Park 4 earlier than expected. If that happens, I think it will be the most interesting of the year. Apparently, the first cast and director (Spielberg) are reprising their roles It can't be much worse than part 3.

If the original cast and the director are returning, it might be a good movie.

but the second and third films... man... they were a disgrace to the original.
