'tween Skin Too Much For Tv
December 17, 2006 -- ARE the bare shoulders of a 12-year-old girl too indecent for prime-time? The suits at Disney apparently think so. Studio officials ordered design house Faviana to do a big cover-up when it came to dressing 'tween singing sensation Bianca Ryan for the taping of Disney's "World Christmas Day Parade" special, which airs Dec. 25 on ABC. The cute, $1 million winner of "America's Got Talent" ended up wearing a somewhat censored "Cinderella fantasy gown" on the holiday show. Faviana co-president Omid Moradi told Page Six: "The original mesh sides had to be lined with satin, the lace-up back had to be filled in with a 'modesty panel.' And we had to add tulle cap sleeves to cover Bianca's bare shoulders." One fashion insider snickered, "Even for G-rated Disney, this seems to be a bit much. Why don't they just put her in a burqa? That would definitively solve the issue of too much skin."
I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how many years you have lived.
I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
