Rosie O'Donnell - Asian slur

Evidently Rosie did some humor on the tv show that
really was an ethnic slur towards Asians in describing the
drunken Danny DeVito episode.

Some Asian groups are not happy about what she did.

The network and she are laughing it off.

OK, so you can go on The View drunk and incoherent, and
that's good...as long as you bash people Rosie and Babs
don't like.

You can go on The View and make ethnic slurs towards
Asian people, that's all good too.

Re: Rosie O'Donnell - Asian slur

Do you even care to explain what she did or should we just judge her because you said so?

I also like how you said "evidently" which to me means you didn't even see it or hear it for yourself. Good job!

Okay Samsung, either post sources or stop making stuff up

I guess you hate Rosie because she's a lesbian, don't you? And you want to express your hatred and make others hate her without appearing to be a homophobe. I can see right through you Mr. Propaganda Bot

Re: Rosie O'Donnell - Asian slur

Apparently they were patting themselves on the back about how everyone was talking about the show because of the DeVito Bender, and Rosie - never the brightest bulb on the string - mimicked a Chinese/Asias anchor talking about the episode by making noises like "Ching chong, ching chong..." (I didn't see it, but I've heard accounts from reliable sources).

I wouldn't put it up there with Richards and Gibson, and even protest has been pretty mild even in the Asian-American community from what I can tell, but it was beyond stupid and she needs to own up and apologize.

Reason is poor propaganda when opposed by the yammering, unceasing lies of shrewd and evil and self-serving men.

Definitely a stupid comment. Rosie needs to apologize. You can watch the clip below.

I would laugh too if I heard it. Everyone is so sensitive.

In my opinion every ethnicity has one slur that is just absolutely offensive to that ethnicity and this isn't one of them.

Would you have preferred Rosie O Donnell to say things that are associated with a certain country like say Japan as the language?

It was used in Scary Movie IV and I didn't hear any Asian group protest it.

While not as hateful as what Richards and Gibson said, I agree she MUST apologize. Especially in light of her homophobic allegations regarding what happend between Kelly Rippa and Clay Aiken.

its not a SLUR but it is on the side of bad, i dont care if she aologize or not cuz it's funny.

she's just abrasive

i can see how ching chong can be used as a slur, but she didn't mean it as one. take it in context.

You know who The View should get as a co-host to replace Starr Jones? Margaret Cho! She can offend people left and right and no one will give a shit!
