Care for Iraq vets cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

It has been estimated that medical care for Iraqs wounded will cost $127 Billion, just another cost tacked on to the war bill. Lets just hope the Veterans Admin. is up to it this time.

And it's the taxpayers who will pay for it while war profiteers such as Halliburton and Bechtel profit due to the corporate tax cuts made by Bush .

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

Apart from the financial costs are the physical and psychological after effects many of them (and their families) will have to deal with for decades.

And on a historical note, the heroin addictions that many Vietnam veterans suffered as a result accelerated the early spread of AIDS (via needle sharing) adding a lot to the human and financial cost of that blunder.

Not to mention the number of military (Killers) veterans that were released on the streets with deep psychological problems and the countless others being hired by the police agencies. Swords into Plowshares is not that simple. I understand that this time the amount of Veteran Benefits to the homecoming veteran has been cut drastically by none other than the present administration. Go Figure.
