He deserved it.
Mario had dance lessons before this contest. I don't believe him for a minute when he said that he never really had any.
A cute face and a nice ass doesn't automatically give you this competition, it helps though.

Well done Emmitt!!!!

He never came close to being as good as Barry on the gridiron, but he sure kicked ass with his MC Hammer routine. Simply great!

And his partner was hot!

Cheers,

This was the most entertaining season so far. I liked Mario, Joey and Emmitt (even though he was a Dallas Cowboy )

Congrats Emmitt and Cheryl!

I was really surprised that Emmitt won even though I voted for him. Both couples were great.

Meh! I lost a bet. A friend of mine bet me $50 that Emmitt would win weeks and weeks ago. I hope she's forgotten.

Re: Emmitt Smith wins Dancing With the Stars (USA)

I've seen 2 complete episodes...

...yesterday and today

When Emmitt did Hammer yesterday, I actually got excited for him (didn't think he'd win until then).

When they announced that he won, I called my buddy who's an Eagle fan and talked mad trash to him as if Emmitt had just won another Super Bowl.

Such silliness and fun from TV.

Then when his wife made a comment about Emmitt being cute, my buddy disagreed so I argued with him for a couple of minutes about Emmitt's cuteness and declared that the Dallas Cowboys were the Cutest Team of All Time.

OMG I had no idea that she is that young! That really is amazing!

I really liked both Mario and Emmitt. And their partners.

I wasn't very familiar with either them when the show started - had heard Emmitt's name, and Mario had a familiar face but I didn't know who he was.

I thought Mario was slightly a better dancer, but it's not all about dance technique, especially with the public votes.

I wonder how close the vote was.
