I've been diagnosed with cancer

today

It's so scary it makes me laugh to be honest....

I'm desperate right? Telling this here? I'm kind of a loner so i thought it was ok to do so.

Don't question me, just tell me how to deal with it

Re: I've been diagnosed with cancer

What kind is it?

Many types of cancer are very treatable these days,
with high rates of success after treatment, years,
decades, of life ahead of you likely!

There is definitely hope.

I hope you get good care and treatment, and
don't get too down! Not for long anyway.

I'm very, very sorry.
You're gonna get through it in the end.
I don't know much about you, but the human spirit has more perseverance than you can ever imagine. This will surely test you, but you just have to believe that in the end you'll be ok and you'll make it. Don't ever give up hope. I know it sounds cheesy, but that's all I can say really...

I wish you all the best.

I second that.

Cancer is something most of us will die from. If you are younger than you might have better chances of treatment and fight it. In other respect it is more dangerous. If you are older, some sorts are common - and a lot of them of them are beatable. Some diagnosis are worse than others. Do not give up - there are always ways to go and to try. Doesn't matter if you are young or old, you have your chances!! Go for it! I wish you all the best!

Re: I've been diagnosed with cancer

For those of you who have already replied, thank you.

I'm signing out early today because i'm expected in the hospital tomorrow morning. I'll be probably out for a few weeks but i'm sure i'll be back!!!! I would never wanna miss Kim win the Aussie Open!! It's not a bad time to get sick actually, most tennis is over. I'm so sorry but i'm kind of a sarcastic person when it comes to this.

To be honest i'm scared as hell.

So, to everyone who replies or sends messages : . You now know why i won't be getting back to you soon.

No, i'm not going to use the crying face, even though that's exactly how i feel.

Bye, hope to talk to ya'all soon!!!!

Re: I've been diagnosed with cancer

My best wishes. I hope you come out even stronger. And as others said, cancer is no longer deadly; you have a very very good shot at surviving.

Stay strong. And the sarcasm can really help you get through.

Re: I've been diagnosed with cancer

I will say a word of prayer for your recovery. I wish you all the best. Face the sickness with strength and resolution. Never give up, never surrender, fight even when it seem like you can't do it anymore, fight! Tell yourself over and over that all is well and you will be fine. Will your body to recover and keep strong. Get good medical care!

I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how many years you have lived.

I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

Very true.
Many forms of cancer are treatable today, and people have been known to live full happy lives with em.

Kimster, I know it's easy for me to say, but don't start worrying just yet. Cancer is very strong on both sides of my family, and I KNOW that I will get it. My wife has had it TWICE already, and she's doing quite well today.

Just be strong kiddo, and take all the precautions necessary when deciding how to treat whatever form that you have. Quite often people suffer more from the "cures" than they do from the disease itself.

My love, heart, and hope to you.
And be STRONG of Will, for that alone may serve to sustain you.

Re: I've been diagnosed with cancer

I'll second a few who say that people do recover from Cancer, when it's diagnosed early enough, and you staying positive and fighting will help... a lot... much more than you could ever imagine
All the best and we hope to hear from you soon
