Re: Newsweek Poll- 78% concerned w/Dem Iraq Retreat Plans
*When are we going to pull our troops out Europe, South Korea,
Japan, and South America? Considering the meek NATO and the
non-existent EU troops (even now after how many years), how would
Europe fare w/o any USA troops in the region, w/Iran and Syria and
a bolstered Al Queda led Iraq nearby?
*Again, fine time to think of that voters......you get what
you voted for. Think San Francisco politics, and that's
what you'll get for 2 years, in everything.
1 year of scandals blown up by the compliant media, and the Foley
text messages to an 18 year old former page, and Allen's Macaca
stupidity did in the GOP...1 seat is what we're talking about. The
war was pretty evenly divided among the nation.
However, no poll before the election, and none since, backs a
national referendum to bail on Iraq suddenly....and 6 months
is sudden for the military.
1 1/2 years is okay with me. That would be where I thought it would
be, about 3-4 years, 5 at most.
*In the meantime, we have Iran openly calling for the destruction
and elimination of Israel, Syria and Iran and North Korea and Venezuela
forming new alliances w/ billions and nukes in hand, and we have Al
Queda cheering on Nancy Pelosi and John Murtha........
*Murtha's 'Okinawa' redeployment plan is ridiculous. Even
Tim Russert blasted him on that. Physically, it's nonsense.
It took 1 full year to deploy troops to the region of Iraq,
in 3 or 4 nations w/o Turkey's help.
*Bush Administration made changes to the national guard
call up over 6 months ago....generally ignored by the media.
That alone ensures that troops will be out of Iraq sooner than
later, as w/o the guard numbers to be called to duty for sufficient
periods of time, the deployments cannot continue past about
1 1/2 years, 2 at most.
That was Rumsfelds military that enacted that already, and it
went very underreported.
