Bush Press Conference - Lose and Face the Music, I like that........

Other places they blow things up, fight, have violence,
protest in the streets, things like that.

Here, we have a drink, blow up balloons, sigh, kick a
can, scowl, turn off the tv, and go to work in the
morning.

The President of the USA holds a press conference, addresses
the election losses, handles a resignation, and answers the
liberal media press questions on live tv.

The piece of crow hanging out his mouth is a little unsightly,
and that tire tread on his back is a little messy, from being
run over by the DNC mack truck...but, he's still standing, and
fighting.

I like that about us.
I like that about our system.
Faults and all, it ain't bad.

We just get back to work..........win or lose.
Both parties.

You don't seriously expect the democrats to "work with" Bush, do you?

Pelosi: "Partnership, not partisanship..."

Liberals: Hard on the unborn, soft on terrorists

Re: Bush Press Conference - Lose and Face the Music, I like that........

The Democrats had a majority w/him before, and he
got tax cuts through, and education reform he wanted.

Remember?

The fact is the Democrats can pass all the things they
want, and he can veto it, and they can override that.

They ran on one issue: hating Bush. Not much else.

The news keep telling us today the Dems elected a lot
of 'moderate to conservative' Democrats to office last night.
OK, let's see just how moderate to conservative they are
fiscally? I'd bet not much in reality.

To win the White House they need some Republicans
to vote for Hillary. They can't do that by negating all
GOP platforms across the board.

Also, the fact is that Bush is on the same page as
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid on two issues:

Amnesty and Immigration Reform. He wants amnesty
and worker programs expanded. Fact. Always has.
We will get a big amnesty push through from Bush,
and Pelosi will love it, and want it to be more sweeping.

Education - he likes to spend on this, a lot. So do they.
Bush and Kennedy on education tend to agree, not disagree.

Everything else, like Clinton, who had a GOP Congress ...
if it's popular, you try to make it your own in the media,
i.e., welfare reform. Do you think he wanted that? No.
He took and got most of the credit for it though.

Not much they can find common ground on, but, yes, there
are more than enough that exist for them to work on.

Confrontations won them the election in 2006, now, they
have to lead. They have to produce something other than
a dumping stock market, as we see this morning.

Look to McCain, and that's where Bush will likely go too
on policy ideas.

And you guys wonder why so many young
people don't care. This kind of Washington
BS is one of the reasons.

Spend so much time fighting each other
that you don't get anything done or care to.

Instead of really trying to care to get things done
and benefit the people they serve, it's all about them.

Love ya' babe,
but come on already.

I take solice in that even if nothing changes
I atleast tried to do something with my vote
and have some kind of say, I guess.

This man is a nutjob. He is uncouth and uneducated with the common people. He is laughable. not capable of articulate speech.

He comes off as a clown idiot than a leader of our country.

Re: Bush Press Conference - Lose and Face the Music, I like that........

I'm okay with Rumsfeld's resignation.

He had become the focal point of the debate,
and that was taking away from the work.

He had offered his resignation twice before
to Bush, and Bush turned him down.

He didn't want him to be a scapegoat, which
he ended up being anyway.

He served well, and he served under tough times.

But, 6 years is a long time for any Secretary in
a Cabinet. It was time to go. I would have
preferred he done it before the election, but
it was his call.

People come and go in administrations all the time.
Some more famous than others.

Khofi Anan's swipe at Bush today is amusing. The guy is
under investigation for all kinds of UN bribery deals, he
fails in Somlia, Rwanda, Sudan, etc., and he's bashing
Bush. Khofi, don't let the doot hit you on the way out....
what exactly did you do to help Darfur?

Re: Bush Press Conference - Lose and Face the Music, I like that........

I assume Conyers and Kennedy and Leahy will rake Bush
over the coals all the time...how long can the Democrats
keep their true Far Left antics in the closet? Not very.

That's okay.

I assume Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan and
Hugo Chaves will be regular guests in the Congressional
chambers to cheer on things.

Dems won, they can do that.

Will it hold?
Will it be what the public wants?
Will it be enough to win in 2008?

Again, in 1992, Clinton won.

By 1994, the GOP swept into the House with
a majority of over 20 more than what the Dems
got last night...breaking a nearly 60 year hold
the Dems had.

Great news for 1996 right for the GOP?

No, they lost to Clinton again in 1996. So much
for the sweeping change nationally.

Voters are fickle in the USA. We vote in and out
what we don't like, or what we hate a little less.

Re: Bush Press Conference - Lose and Face the Music, I like that........

The only world leader standing up to fight terrorism, and call
them what they are: terrorists and murderers. For that, he's
a dunce. OK. If you say so. I forgot, all terrorism started in 2001,
nothing happened before that, ever, anywhere in the USA or to our
interests.

1979. Jimmuh Carter. Iran. From then to now, check out the
terrorist attacks to the USA and what we didn't do to deal w/them
for years.

Uncouth? Unpolished?

Unlike the leader of Italy or France or Russia or China?

Yeah, kissing a kids tummy was really swift on camera.

Imprisoning dissidents is really cool in China.

Getting a facelift would be more stylish I suppose.

Or just denouncing the Holocaust, that would be better?

That's a real stylish group at the UN.

World leaders do that too....

Or hold up Noam Chomsky's book at the UN...that's a real leader
for you.

No offense, Bill Clinton always reminded me of WC Fields, and
Al Gore of Forest Gump. Kerry sounds like Lurch.

Pot, kettle, black. Bush has never given anything but lipservice to "uniting" or working across the aisle.

Please, who has been calling Clinton, & Carter uneducated?

Hate them both for their choices but uneducated and unarticulate sure aren't possible reasons.

Gosh if we had known when Dan Quayle misspelled Potato what idiocy of speech was going to be hurled on us later we wouldn't have laughed at Dan.
