Lieberman's lead on anti-war rival narrows

Ned Lamont is gaining ground on Joe Sore Loser
How humiliated will Lieberman be, if he loses as an independent too?

I hope this race is close...that way, the rest of America will be so turned off by the left that the GOP might actually gain seats.

Exactly. The more Ned Lamont and his supporters talk the better it is for all of us to see what they truly believe in.

The GOP candidate in Conneticut is about 3%. This is not about the Republicans. It's about the heart and soul of the Democratic party. Lieberman is a sellout.

this is exactly what I've been referring to for the last 3 days.

And remember this?:
Quote:
The Quinnipiac poll also showed that Lieberman has become the de facto Republican nominee. Seventy-five percent of Republicans backed the incumbent, compared with 13 percent for Lamont and 10 percent for Schlesinger. Asked whether Lieberman deserves re-election, 80 percent of Republicans said yes, compared with 57 percent of independents and 32 percent of Democrats....http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...sn=001&sc=1000
And with approximately 2 months left before the mid-term, things will be getting very interesting for Lieberman and the Republicans.

Also, let's be quite clear about something here...
Lieberman may be registered as an Independent, however he is still the Republican Party's golden boy in CT.
Quote:
Lieberman's continued viability as a candidate was underscored Friday with his announcement that he had brought on board two new campaign hands. One of the most sought-after Republican pollsters -- Public Opinion Strategies' Neil Newhouse -- has agreed to handle the survey research for Lieberman's general election campaign. Newhouse also polls for Connecticut Gov. M. Jodi Rell, a Republican, and Rep. Rob Simmons, R-Conn., but has never worked for a Democratic candidate. Lieberman's media campaign will be overseen by Josh Isay, who advised New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a Republican, in 2005....http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...sn=001&sc=1000
Joe should just come out as a Republican, then maybe he'd win.

Joe Lieberman is Joe Lieberman's worst enemy. All he has to do is keep talking.
People statewide will come to understand this soon enough. Apparently, judging from the new poll numbers, many already do.

No shit !! He is a turncoat and traitor of the worst kind. I don't care who he SAYS he will caucus with if he wins. He's not reliable, and I also expect that the Republicans want some favours from him in return for their support. This man is a huge evil ego on two ugly legs. I bet the tables will turn on his ass once he gets out on the campaign trail and starts talking about his "two Republican opponents'

OMG!! That's a good one! He's gotta know that he's walking a slippery slope here. What's he gonna do...call his Republican opponents 'shifty'...'unrealiable'...'wafflers'...? They'd just look at him and go ... "But Joe, we've donated to your campaign." He won't be able to attack 'em. Hell, I'd like to know who's running his campaign because this guy is a genius in the study of Stupiology.

I swear, Joe is a walking oxymoron.

August 23: Our reason for focusing on Lieberman’s distance from 40% in the primary results was his need to retain roughly a third of Democratic voters to prevail in the general. That analysis counted on Schlesinger doing considerably better than the 5% he is currently polling. If Schlesinger can be kept in the single digits, Lieberman can win with less than a third of Democratic support, which is why he has the edge

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...e_race-21.html

These 2 polls show only a 2% difference...

That's just a wet dream for you. A very unrealistic wet dream. There is 0 chance of the GOP not losing seats this election cycle. The important point is how many.

The election was 2 weeks ago, and we're 'narrowing' the lead already.
OK.

It should reflect what the registration in Connecticut is, and little
more. Which is close. It will come down to the debates and
the last few weeks in action for the three men. Assume the GOP guy will
all but bail by the end.

Amazing that you equate Lieberman with the GOP.
The Dems VP candidate is a right winger. How'd he pull
that off?

He's not. He's a liberal on almost everything. He's always
been a hawk in regards to Israel and the Middle East. Always.
For that sin, he's being blackballed by his own party.

Nice loyalty there.

He's a Democrat.
A Democrat voting record, that really does mirror Hillary
Clinton on almost everything. Except one thing: he doesn't
talk out of both sides of his mouth on Bush or Iraq, as Hillary
does. Voting to support the war and the funding over & over,
yet telling us publicy she dislikes Bush and the war, and those
who support it.OK. Free pass for Hillary from the media. Another
generally glowing Time cover (her 10th for doing what exactly).

Lieberman - target of millions of dollars in anti-Joe campaign
led by the far, far left of the DNC and the blogosophere.

It will be close down to the election day, but, I think Joe
can win if he reminds voters of his overall record in serving
the state - which is an above par record.

Let Lamont talk, that usually loses him votes.
