Reputation Comment: Would You be willing to use what you get for online dating?
Just an idea. We all recieve 'reputation points'. All fine and good. We also get messages. My two question are...
1) If all people knew about you was the comments you receive as 'reputation', do you think people you like would date you?
2) If all a people knew about you was the comments you receive as 'reputation', would you be happy dating those people?
Understand, that person will NOT get to read the underlying threads. Their whole impression of you would be based on other people's comments about you. People who didn't understand your point, people who hate every word you write, people who think everything you say is gospel.
NONE of your own words.
So, in my own case, I'd be dealing with people who know that SOME people think I'm an anti-Semetic, anti-American, Hezbollah-supporting homosexual male. (None of that's true, of course, but the people in question wouldn't be able to hear my denials unless they actually met me.)
How comfortable are you with the opinions that total strangers have formed about you?
Proud to be an American
Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.
