After this war Hezbollah is not only popular in Lebanon, it is popular in all Arab countries. This war didn't do Israel any good. It simply created more people willing to fight it to the bitter end. A diplomatic solution would have fared much better. Hezbollah was not crushed, merely bruised. This to them is victory. They will claim they withstand the might army of Israel and the United States and came out on top... This for them is victory. Now there is more encouragement and defiance in the Arab nations to do what Hezbollah is perceived to have done. Iran will become an ever more fearsome foe. They will get their nukes and the whole balance in the middle east will change. Iran with Nukes means the other middle eastern countries that hate Israel will get nukes as well... by stealth. Sanctions will not penalize Iran it will penalize the West when they remove their oil from the market. Get ready to pay 7 bucks and upwards for oil when this happens. Iran is now flush with oil cash, it will weather the sanctions. Iraq did for more than 10 years under Sadam. Look at the speed with which Lebanon is being rebuilt.... a lot of available cash from Iran. Plus countries like Russia and China will not ratify sanctions for Iran. Oil for the is too much a commodity .. they will not cut off their nose to spit their face. Definite recession on the horizon for the US.
I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how many years you have lived.
I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
